Aaron Ross - Biography
Aaron Ross is a Biri Gubba man with family throughout far north Queensland. Starting out as a volunteer on Brisbane public radio, he has continued to work in the media and communications industry for almost 20 years.
Aaron helped establish the national radio program Speaking Out at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation and has continued to promote and defend Aboriginal Affairs in the media for various organisations. They include the NSW Land Council and ATSIC, as well as campaigns such as the Stolen Generations, Sorry Day and Native Title.
Over the past eight years he has been employed by the NSW Government as a Senior Advisor to a range of Ministers including Premiers Bob Carr and Morris Iemma and as Director of Communications for the Northern Territory's Chief Minister Clare Martin.
Recently he has been engaged as Director of Corporate Affairs with National Indigenous TV.
